Today, we moved into our house!!!
We ate lunch in our camping chairs while creepily people/traffic watching from our front windows. It started raining and a few minutes later, we heard what sounded like a waterfall in the dining room. There must be a broken gutter, because water was gushing down the side of the house, against the window, filling the window well and absorbing into the wall.
We were able to block some of the water from the window well with some plastic bags we happened to have. After the rain stopped, Wade stapled plastic sheeting against the house, covering the window. The honeymoon phase is officially over. And we’re now the official spokespeople of “I can fix that!”
