Wade and I have been living in the upstairs unit of our duplex and I’ll be doing renovations on the downstairs unit.

Today, I tore up a tiny piece of linoleum to uncover the situation underneath. And…we have maple flooring continuing in the kitchen!!! This is the best case scenario! The only horrifying part of it is that it’s covered by two layers of linoleum, a piece of plywood, then two more layers of linoleum. But at least they didn’t remove them!

Wade and I have been trying to think of a name for this house. We seriously considered naming it The Sign House, because there were so many signs that we SHOULDN’T buy it. But then we thought, “Screw the signs. We make our own signs.” We decided to name it The Maple House, since the maple floors are one of the main things we love about this place. The maple floors that run through the WHOLE HOUSE!
