So, last week I said that this week would be better and it has been!

I got my business cards in the mail! They’re stunning and I love them! They have a metallic finish! Wade’s got a bit botched, but I called and they are rushing us a fresh batch. I love Vistaprint!

Although I have been working on this blog for months, Maqua’s website has still not officially launched. So, the official launch was Friday, 09 February 2018, at 3:00 pm. I have been working feverishly on the site. It’s gorgeous and I love it. My graphic designer has been so amazing and has gone above and beyond on this…we’ve just been waiting on me to finish my tweaks.

This week, we had a few snows. On Tuesday, I went to The 1885 House to shovel and work on the sink. I replaced the sprayer, it still didn’t work. I replaced the hose assembly but then the faucet and sprayer didn’t work, so I determined that the diverter needed to be replaced. I disassembled the faucet, but couldn’t get the diverter out since it was so corroded. So I decided to remove the entire faucet and replace it. It’s kinda nasty, anyway. But the plastic nuts were corroded in place and I didn’t have the right tools to get it apart, so I left. It snowed overnight, so I went back on Tuesday to shovel and brought the tools I needed. I got the faucet out and went to Home Depot to get a replacement. I got one and went back to install it. I opened it and realized that it didn’t have the hookup for a sprayer. I was so frustrated! I went back to Home Depot and got a new faucet. I brought it back and everything went together like a charm! Buying the entire assembly was cheaper than buying a sprayer, a hose assembly, and a faucet. Note to self: next time just buy the whole damn thing. It matches and was easy. It also would’ve saved me so much time and multiple trips to Home Depot. But the house is ready for our new tenants! There’s nothing wrong here anymore!!! Well, except the roof, but I’m working on that.

We signed the Rental Agreement with our new tenants! I’m so excited! I know they will take great care of the place and it’s a relief to know there’s someone there. I get paranoid if I haven’t been there in more than two days when I know a unit is vacant. What is something went wrong? The furnace stopped? Pipes burst? It combusted into flames? Ghosts moved in? My mind goes crazy. With tenants, I know they will call if anything goes awry.

With the website launched and The 1885 House being ready for the new tenants and the Rental Agreement signed, I can finally start focusing back on my renovations at The Maple House next week! I’m so excited! I have missed her! I feel like she’s an old friend I’ve been neglecting. Let’s catch up next week, Maple. You’re a cool old girl and I like hanging with you.
